Philip
Holland is a Principal with CLO. Phil has experience as a program
manager, lead designer, and facilitator of various engagements.
He has worked with clients including Lucent Technologies, Merrill
Lynch, Chrysler, Johnson and Johnson, Novartis, BP Exploration,
Cadbury Schweppes, and Random House. His specialty is in learning
and performance improvement processes.
Prior to his work at CLO, Phil worked as a principal with the Center
for Executive Development. Earlier in his career, he was a research
associate at the Graduate School of Business, Harvard. During his
work there, Phil authored many notes and numerous case studies in
the areas of Human Resource Management and Change Management. Two
of his case studies have been reprinted in Todd Jick's, Managing
Change: Cases and Concepts (1993). He is a co-author of the article,
"Learning From Action" (Organizational Dynamics,
Spring 1999).
Phil is a graduate of Stanford University with a BS in industrial
engineering. He holds an MPA from Harvard University, including
one year of study at the Harvard Business School. Before beginning
his graduate studies, Phil worked at the International Business
Machines Corporation as an industrial engineer and engineering manager.
